Ashy is very kawaii in this drawing! ^^ The expression on his face is really cute, and the goggles also make Ashy even more adorable! Although I think there are some things that are missing from this drawing... Well, you see his front legs... but where exactly are his back legs? You could have shown part of his two back legs... (unless Ashy is supposed to look like that) And you could definitely use a little more shading! ^^ Maybe even a shadow of him on the ground to show he is not only a 2D animal. Because with shadows, it makes your drawings look a little more than a 2D drawing~ You should definitely get a blending stick for adding shadows. Well that is all I really have to say, and I formed this critique by examining your artwork, and also through my experience of teaching myself how to draw^^ I hope this helped~ Because the mistakes you make now, will become wisdom, so you will know what to improve upon~ Keep drawing! And keep practicing! ^^ Every artist must start somewhere! *･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･'(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)'･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･*
To sum it all up, it looks like a head on stilts. That is all that I can assume it is... there's no evidence of any more, uhh... "dog" behind it. Did you mean to do that? Is he a part of the master race of Head-And-Legs? Sounds interesting.
I'm going to guess that the black substance on the side of his head is shading, although I can't assure that it is. If it is, then he could use a lot more. Light doesn't reserve its shadow for one part of the body.
How did it get all those accessories on? Was he born with them? Did his owner put them on for him? They seem pretty useless, and it's kind of hard for a dog to put goggles and necklaces and collars on. I'm going to guess that he has one of those crazy owners that dresses him up. Heck, his necklace even looks like the word "Mom!"
I honestly didn't see a dog/wolf/coyote in this. I found a two-legged gremlin. Not the best idea.
